About Me

Sacha Lodge

I grew up in the California coastal town of Cambria, in a small community where everyone felt like family. It was during this time that I was inspired by close family friends to pursue the field of dentistry. This interest led me to attend the Oregon Institute of Technology, where I graduated in 2003 with an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene. Just a year later, in 2004, I earned my Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Business Management and Cum Laude honors.

My career in dental hygiene has been tremendously rewarding. I have discovered first hand how our entire body is connected, and how profoundly one part can affect another. When my daughter started having problems with her occlusion and allergies I was determined to know why, and what more we could be doing to help her. This was when I discovered Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy. Learning about this form of preventative treatment opened my mind to the benefits it has on the dysfunctions of our mouth, and in turn, our entire body. It has given me a new way to help not only my own kids, but pursue helping families in my community.

I started my training in OMT with the renowned educator and therapist, Sarah Hornsby. After completing her MyoMentor program I pursued additional training with the Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (AOMT), which has been training professionals around the world in Orofacial Myology for over 30 years. I am constantly taking continuing educational courses in the field, including courses with the Breathe Institute by Dr. Soroush Zaghi, MD (renowned sleep disordered breathing and tongue tie expert).

My background in dentistry, combined with my passion for OMT, has given me a unique perspective for my clients.

When I’m not guiding a therapy session, indulging in the latest medical breakthrough, or investing in my dental education – you’ll find me enjoying the outdoors and natural beauty of Central Oregon. I love hiking with my dogs, gardening, horse riding and spending time with my two kids and husband. Our family owns and operates an Italian restaurant in Sunriver, Oregon where you can often catch me mingling with our community when I don’t feel like cooking!

If you would like to know more about Myofunctional Therapy and how it may benefit you, please contact me. I would love to learn more about your symptoms, and work together towards a solution that ultimately gives you a happier and healthier life.
